Respite Services

Bridges of Wyoming values each family and understands what supports are needed to allow relief. Bridges of Wyoming recognizes and chooses and trains each Direct Support Professional specific to the family’s request and to the supported person’s own unique needs.  Respite services can be provided daily, weekly, or longer dependent on the family’s needs.

Respite Services are often utilized on a short-term, temporary basis for caregiver and they are intended to provide relief from the daily care of a person with a disability. Respite service includes assistance with daily living activities, medication assistance and individual supervision. Respite cannot be used for childcare or daycare purposes while the primary caregiver is working and it cannot be used during services that are available through normal education activities, after school supervision, daytime services when the school is not in session or services to preschool age children.
