Personal Care Services may include assistance in performing activities of daily living such as bathing dressing, personal hygiene, bathroom assistance, transferring, maintaining continence and more complicated aspects of daily living such as light housework, laundry, meal preparation using the telephone, medication and money management.
Personal Care Services assist people with disabilities to accomplish tasks that they would normally do for themselves if they did not have a disability. Assistance may be hands-on and Bridges of Wyoming Direct Support Professionals may actually perform a task for the person or direct a prompt to the person to perform a task. Personal Care Services may be provided periodically or on a continuing basis. Services may also include medication assistance or administration and range of motion exercises.
